Why do you use tallow in your lip jelly? Is it also eco-conscious or cruelty-free?
Tallow has many skin-loving properties. It's full of vitamins A, D, E, and K, all wonderful for skin health. Furthermore, it's similar to the oils our skin naturally produces, so it absorbs well and helps create a healthy skin barrier.
Also, tallow its one of the most environmentally friendly ingredients out there! Grass-fed tallow is produced with no pesticides, no fertilizers, and no industrial processing.
And for those claiming we are contributing to the killing of animals:
No rain forests or land is destroyed (like they are with seed oils).
And in fact, most tallow is thrown away, so by repurposing it, we are minimizing waste.
Will it smell or taste like beef?
We ensure it undergoes a rigorous purification process by filtering it over 10 times to remove any unpleasant odors. It also has no taste.
Instead, you'll find it has a subtle scent from the shea butter!
Is it effective in blocking out UVA and UVB (Broad Spectrum)?

I’ve used so many lip balms in the past and they seem to just be ok at best. Since I moved where winters are now harsher, my lips have been cracking ever since. Decided to give this lip balm a try. Wow all I can say! Within 2 days, my lips were healed, no more chipped and dry lips. I use it every day now and will continue to purchase. SPF and hydrating lip jelly? Yes please! This lip jelly is amazing - doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry and chalky like other lip SPFs do. I use it as a regular lip balm as well because it works so well to hydrate my typically dry lips. Once my baby is big enough to understand not to lick it off (although it’s safe for him to do so!) I’ll be using it on him, too. Living in NZ with the super harsh sun, this truly is a top notch product and I will be back for more.

I have been addicted to various chapsticks since I was a teen. My lips always feel dry and can be sensitive to certain ingredients. I am used to reapplying chapstick often throughout the day.
